Needle Felted Seascape Workshop with Hobbz Designs – 24th October 2026

Are you missing the sea and sun of the summer? Come and create your very own needle felted seascape picture with Rachel from Hobbz Designs.

Suitable for beginners; you will be guided through every stage of this absorbing craft, from design, to felting, to finishing.

You’ll have the chance to work with a variety of different fibres, including merino wool and add some embroidery stitching or other embellishments if you wish. There’ll  be plenty of reference materials provided but you are welcome to bring along your own photo inspiration if desired!

Pictures will be around 12.7cm x 17.7cm (5”x7”) and can be either square or round. Full workshop cost includes all materials and use of any needle felting equipment. All needle felting will be finished during the workshop however any complex embroidery detail may need to be finished at home. (You will be able to take away any extra embroidery threads to finish this.)

You will learn how to:

– create a basic design using reference materials

– create a needle felted background using merino wool and other fibres

– blend different fibres together

– add embellishments and threads

– create a simple embroidered motif

– mount your finished artwork

This workshop is held at Yarny Bees, 69 Upper St John Street, Lichfield, WS14 9DT on Saturday 24th October from 9:30-12:30pm.
