Creative Escapes with Jenni Stone Designs

Price range: £25.00 through £60.00

90 minutes to switch off, explore and simply create.
Join Jenni once a month for a relaxed creative session where we’ll try out a different material or medium, from watercolour and inks to paints and more to be experimental and work freely.
It’s a chance to experiment, play, discover and some time for yourself, ready for your weekend.
Each session explores a different material,
“This isn’t about creating a finished piece. It’s about the experience of creating.”
It’s your time to explore at your own pace and change direction at any time to see what evolves.
All materials are provided. Jenni will provide practical demonstrations for you to have the freedom to explore, experiment and create in your own way. There’s no set outcome to follow. Jenni will be present for support and of course knowledge, guidance and abundance of encouragement when required.
Dates: Friday 29th January, Friday 26th February, Friday 26th March, Friday 23rd April, Friday 28th May, Friday 25th June
Time: 7-8.30pm
Cost is £25 per session or £60 for 3 sessions. (All 3 sessions are required to be used within a 4 month period)
Here is an overview of the first 3 sessions.
Session 1 – Mixing watercolour inks directly onto different papers and wet and dry backgrounds using brushes and pipettes to watch the beautiful colours merge together. Elevate with pens and more ink.
Session 2 – Acrylic painting, using a range of tools to apply the paint and make expressive marks This will include paintbrushes, but also sponges and cut up mount board to pull the paint. While experimenting you may create an abstract water scene or patterns with different colour paints.
Session 3 – Create paper stencils, carving out erasers to print and build up a scene using simple printmaking techniques. Use printing ink and ink stamps. Everyday items like textured papers and paper doyleys for pattern and household items can be explored too.
