Are you looking for things to keep your child happy and occupied during the holidays? Perhaps they are crafty and love learning new things?
Come and join Rosey at one of her fabulous art workshops and use a variety of materials to create some beautiful projects.
Held throughout the summer holidays at Yarny Bees, 69 Upper St John Street, Lichfield, WS14 9DT.
A fun and creative 2-hour art and craft workshop, making two different pieces – usually one 2D and one 3D.
At the end of the session the children can take their items home to show off what they have created!
Children will be guided in using the materials and techniques in each workshop. As we will be using acrylic paints, please ensure children wear old clothes that they don’t mind getting dirty (acrylics can stain) or bring a craft apron to protect clothes.
Suitable for children aged 7+. Older children welcome and activities can be adapted so let us know if you have an older child who wants to come.
Squash and biscuits provided, please let us know in advance if your child has any allergies.
Session 1: Wednesday 22nd July 10-12pm CACTUS theme Make a cute cactus ‘pebble in a pot’ and paint a cactus-themed canvas.
Session 2: Wednesday 29th July 10-12pm PINEAPPLE theme Decorate a wooden free-standing pineapple shape and paint a funky pineapple-themed canvas.
Session 3: Wednesday 29th July 1-3pm CHERRY BLOSSOM theme (aimed at older children 9-14 years) Paint a cherry blossom branch on canvas (or choose a tree silhouette over a background sky). This workshop will be canvas painting only, as the process of painting this canvas is more involved and will take the full 2 hours to complete.
Session 4: Wednesday 5th August 10-12pm DOUGHNUT theme Make a doughnut key-ring clip out of silk clay and paint a cute donut-themed canvas.
Session 5: Wednesday 5th August 1-3pm ICE-CREAM theme Make a selection of mini-food items from silk clay, including ice-creams and lollies, plus paint a fun ice-cream themed canvas.
Session 6: Wednesday 12th August 10-12pm ZEBRA theme (Age 8+ as frame contains glass) Decoupage a paper-mache zebra model and create a doodle zebra artwork in a frame. We will be painting and doodling with pens for this one. Prefer unicorns? Message me in advance to arrange!
Session 7: Wednesday 12th August 1-3pm GIRAFFE theme Decoupage a free-standing wooden giraffe model and paint a fun giraffe-themed canvas.
