Are you looking for things to keep your child happy and occupied during the holidays? Perhaps they are crafty and love learning new things?
Come and join Rosey at one of her fabulous art workshops and use a variety of materials to create some beautiful projects.
Held on Wednesday 1st April, from 1-3pm at Yarny Bees, 69 Upper St John Street, Lichfield, WS14 9DT.
This “Funky bunnies” themed workshop is suitable for ages 6+. We would suggest that if your child is 7+ you can ‘drop and go’. If you have a 6 year old who would like to come let us know, you may need to stay and support them. We will accommodate you if we have room in the studio.
A fun and creative 2-hour art and craft workshop, making two different pieces on the theme of ‘funky bunnies’ that children can take home and display proudly as part of their Easter décor! Children will create a mixed media ‘funky bunny’ piece of artwork that will be framed in a block photo frame (20x25cm) ready to take home and display. They will complete this using fine-liners, acrylic paints and paint pens- adding on a pair of bright funky glasses at the end! Templates will be provided or children can design their own bunny outline.
They will also decoupage their own free-standing wooden rabbit (20cm). They will be guided through the process of selecting from bright, patterned papers and then cutting (or ripping) and gluing the desired images and patterns onto the surface of the rabbit. Ribbons and beads optional.
As we will be using acrylic paints and glue, please ensure children wear old clothes that they don’t mind getting dirty (acrylics can stain) or bring a craft apron to protect clothes.
Suitable for children, tweens and teens aged 6+. Older children welcome and activities can be adapted so let us know if you have an older child who wants to come.
Please note, the frame provided has a glass front and must be handled with care. I will put the children’s artwork inside this ready to take home. The frame will then be passed to an adult to transport safely. Also, the glue on the wooden rabbits will probably still be sticky for a couple of hours after finishing the craft.
Squash and biscuits provided, please let us know in advance if your child has any allergies.
